NAK BELI By MYEG Launches CSR Initiative, ‘BELI CARES’ To Donate Fresh Produce & Groceries To The Less Fortunate IN Klang Valley

PETALING JAYA – NAK BELI by MYEG, the e-commerce grocery platform by MY E.G. Services Berhad (“MYEG”) launched its CSR initiative, Beli Cares to donate fresh produce and groceries to the less fortunate within the Klang Valley.

In an effort to ease the burden of those affected by the pandemic, NAK BELI is spreading some cheer by delivering free groceries to the needy as well as families facing difficulties within the Klang Valley in the month of February which coincides with Chinese New Year celebrations.

Members of the public are invited to join the Beli Cares CSR initiative by nominating an individual, family, community or welfare home that are facing difficulties on the NAK BELI website to receive the free groceries. Applications will close by 21 February 2021.

Additionally, customers can also purchase Beli Cares Gift Boxes valued at RM100, RM200 and RM500 to donate to someone in need. The Beli Cares Gift Box consists of items such as chicken, vegetables, rice, cooking oil, canned goods, flour, instant oats, biscuits and more.

For volunteers would like to contribute their time, they are welcomed to assist with sorting and packing for the recipients at the NAK BELI warehouse located in Damansara Perdana in Petaling Jaya.

After just two days of launching the initiative, Beli Cares has received over 200 applications from the general public requesting for groceries assistance, mostly consisting of individuals who have lost their job due to the MCO, refugee groups, B40 group and welfare homes.

As part of the launch, three homes benefited from the Beli Cares CSR initiative recently and received a donation of fresh produce and dry goods worth RM3,000 each. The three homes are En Yuan Old Folks’ Home in Petaling Jaya, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra in Petaling Jaya and House of Joy in Puchong.

Through the Beli Cares CSR initiative, we want to lend a helping hand and at the same time deliver a message of hope and empathy, said TS Wong, Group Managing Director of MY E.G. Services Berhad.
